Sorption materials

Sorbents eliminating oil petroleum product spills and decontaminating soil, surface water, snow coverings from oil, petroleum products and other ecologically harmful substances.

Being applied in the works of cleaning environmental sites from oil, petroleum and other ecologically harmful substances, sorbents used by POLYINFORM display high efficiency. Sorption methods are an integral part of the complex SOILEX(r) biotechnology comprised of sorption methods as well as biological ones.

Sorption methods are used in localization and gathering petroleum products from surface water, soil, ground, snow cover and other surfaces.

In biological methods sorbents are used as a basis for bio-preparations in the process of surface water decontamination. Natural ecologically safe materials and materials on the basis of synthetic and natural fibre are used as sorbents.

Sorbents on the basis of natural materials:

• Oil absorbing peat sorbent. Applied in repeated surface water cleaning as a basis for the "SOILEX^®" bio-preparation to utilize radiant film. Specific sorption capacity in ratio of heavy and light oils fractions: 4-5 g/g sorbent. Humidity not more than 20%. Floating period 36-48 hours. Delivery is effected in polyethylene packages of 30 kg.
• Oil absorbing hydrophobic sorbent "SORBOIL". Applied in gathering petroleum products from surface water, soil and ground. Specific sorption capacity in ratio of heavy and light oils fractions: 6-8 g/g sorbent. Floating period 10-15 days. Delivery is effected in polyethylene packages of 25 kg.
• "Vermiculit", foamy. Applied in binding and gathering fresh oil spillage and light petroleum products from soil, ground and snow cover. Besides, it is used as sorption content in filters for water cleaning. Specific sorption capacity: 3-5 g/g sorbent. In the Far North climate applicable. Delivery is effected in polyethylene packages of 10 kg.

Petroleum products in waste sorbents are utilized by biological method with the help of "SOILEX^®" bio-preparation.

Sorbents on the basis of non-woven materials:

• Applied in binding and gathering petroleum products from various solid surfaces at the territories of railway enterprises, oil terminals, oil processing plants, car filling stations, etc. Delivery is effected in rolls with width of 1550-1700 mm, length 50 m, weight 400-900 g/m². Applied as cloths, carpets, napkins, pillows, etc.
• Mixture of natural and synthetic fibres. Specific sorption capacity for oil: 8,5-11,0 g/g sorbent. Specific sorption capacity in ratio of heavy and light oil fractions (5:1) 7,0-7,5 g/g sorbent.
• Mixture of synthetic fibres and their wastes. Specific sorption capacity for oil: 7,5-8,0 g/g sorbent. Specific sorption capacity in ratio of heavy and light oil fractions (5:1) 5,0-6,5 g/g sorbent.
• Synthetic material on the basis of high-pressure polyethylene. Specific sorption capacity for oil: 10,0-15,0 g/g sorbent.
• "Penoilex" synthetic material in a shape of foamy polysterole. Applied in liquidation of oil and petroleum product spills. Specific sorption capacity in ratio of heavy and mixture of heavy and light oils fractions: 15-18 g/g. Hydrophobic. Floating period 25-30 days. Suitable for 5-6 times repeated application.
